Health & Safety Administrator

Bristol

12 Month Initial Contract

21.00 per hour Umbrella / 15.88 per hour PAYE

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Health and Safety Administrator to join the Aerospace Integrated Research and Test Centre. Open to candidates from Construction, Engineering, manufacturing industry.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols within the operational laboratories and test facilities, supporting a large and growing team of engineers and technicians.

You will be responsible for researching, testing and qualifying the latest sustainable materials and components for current and future aircraft application.

Experience Required

  • Experience in Reviewing COSHH assessment, renewing risk assessment
  • Experience in implementing health and safety standards and has experience of running workshops
  • Strong character to tell the team what needs to be done - be proactive and hands on Able to advise on Health and Safety and guide people
  • Health and safety Qualification is useful but experience is needed

Desirable

  • Certification in First Aid/CPR and experience with emergency response planning is desirable

Skill Set / Essential

  • Relevant Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (e.g. NEBOSH or higher)
  • Proven experience in health and safety administration, preferably within a laboratory or testing environment
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively in an aerospace context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate staff on safety procedures and support a large and growing team of engineers and technicians.
  • Collaborative working will be a strength - liaising other departments and health and safety focal points daily
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and investigations to ensure the safety of all team members
