Yolk Recruitment are searching for an Industrial Engineer to work with a renowned Aerospace company that is at the forefront of space exploration and travel.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols within the laboratories and test facilities, supporting a large and growing team of engineers and technicians.

You will assist with the researching, testing and qualifying of the latest sustainable materials and components for current and future aircraft application.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular awareness sessions to educate staff
  • Risk Assessment
  • Safety InspectionsLead investigations on behalf of the centre manager into any accidents, incidents, or near misses
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and coordination with emergency services
  • Act as the team's primary point of contact for all health and safety inquiries, providing guidance and support
  • Develop digital solutions
  • COSHH - Audit, Quarantine of items, Ensure all paperwork is in place and data sheets are up to date.
  • Audit and update of files
  • Monitoring Lifting Equipment
  • Conformity of New Work Equipment
  • Support enforcement of Personal Protective Equipment and Workwear policy

Essentials

  • Experience in Reviewing COSHH assessment, renewing risk assessment
  • Experience in implementing health and safety standards and has experience of running workshops
  • Strong character to tell the team what needs to be done - be proactive and hands on
  • Able to advise on Health and Safety and guide people

Desirables

  • Health and safety Qualification is useful but experience is needed
