We are looking for an Mechanic/MOT Technician for a small but ambitious garage business. The role will be based in Saltford, and is full time, Monday to Friday (working 8.30am - 6pm). The role

Reporting into the Garage Manager duties will include:

Carrying out MOT's on light commercial vehicle and cars
Carrying out the mechanical servicing, repair and MOT Testing on a variety of vehicles.
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and filter replacements, clutches and timing belts.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment.
Conducting inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
Using hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Maintaining compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedure.
Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard.

The person

Experience in Mechanical Technician/Vehicle Technician
You will be an MOT Tester with current valid license
Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks

Salary

£25,000 - £32,000 plus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), Monday to Friday (NO SATURDAY WORKING) - 8.30am - 6pm and pension.
