A well-established stockist and distributor of electrical components is seeking a Sales Administrator to join their team. This company supplies a wide range of productsto industries such as aerospace, defence, medical, industrial, rail, and transportation worldwide. The Sales Administrator will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring their requirements are met efficiently. As a sales administrator you will be responding to customers enquiries and quotations, maintaining databases and supporting Business development managers.

Sales Administrator responsibilities:

  • Identify part numbers for quotation using the information within our database and secure the best cost price available
  • Load customer RFQs into the database, ensuring accurate and timely entry
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers for part numbers where information is not already provided
  • Upload supplier responses to the acquired quotations promptly
  • Maintain and update valid quotations for all high-running parts using the information in our database
  • Conduct a commercial review of customer orders upon receipt and present the reviewed order to the customer service team for processing
  • Provide support to the customer service team by assisting with order loading, order book reconciliation, and export classification
  • Address and report any issues that arise within the customer service functions

Skills & experience required:

  • Proficient IT skills
  • Understand the markets in which they operate and the position of various major competitors in those markets
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Polite phone manner and well-spoken
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Create documents and spreadsheets
  • Outstanding customer service capabilities
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of an additional language besides English is advantageous.
