Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive are looking for teaching assistants to work in an engaging and nurturing specialist school in Trafford catering the needs of young people with SLD, PMLD, autism and complex needs.
The roles will be on a long term and full time basis from (phone number removed)pm. This is initially a temporary role, with the opportunity to then go onto a permanent contract.
In order to be successful in this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will have a calm and patient approach and be able to form good connections with the pupils. You will be committed and passionate about making a positive impact on the child’s learning and development.
We would love to hear from you if you have a medical background, can provide personal care or if you have previous experience working with children or young adults with additional needs.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring student safety and facilitating access to learning activities.
- Contributing to education and behaviour plans.
- Encouraging inclusivity and embracing diversity.
- Setting high expectations for student achievement.
- Providing feedback on student progress.
- Upholding child protection policies.
- Assisting with supervision outside of class.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young adults with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS
- Right to work in the UK
