We are working with an established imaging solutions company in the Thanet area who are looking to employ a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis, in office.

The role will include work on management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal/external audit compliance processes.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Statutory accounts preparation and completion for two business units.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS or GAAP standards.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support management decision-making.
  • Work closely with the internal and external auditors, effectively business partnering to achieve successful and timely audit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements, liaising with tax authorities as needed, and completing corporation tax computations.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations and enhance internal controls.

To be proficient in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW).
  • Proven familiarity of financial and management reporting.
  • Working knowledge of taxation issues (corporation tax, VAT, RDEC).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with ERP/Cognos/TM1 is desirable but not essential.
