 Financial Accountant (Finance Team)

Location: Broadstairs – Office basedWorking Pattern: Full time, permanentWorking Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday – FridaySalary Range: Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Reed is pleased to be recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of a valued client in Thanet. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and providing key financial insights to support business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete statutory accounts for two business units.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS or GAAP standards.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support management decision-making.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors, effectively business partnering to achieve successful and timely audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements, liaising with tax authorities as needed, and completing corporation tax computations.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations and enhance internal controls.

Previous Experience:

The ideal candidate will be an ICAEW or ACCA qualified accountant from an accountancy practice or financial accounting background. Experience in managing audit processes, either from the practice side or industry side, is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively business partner are crucial, along with a desire to develop and grow your career in this role.
