School Pastoral Mentor - Secondary School in Broadstairs

Academics, Canterbury are working with a "Good" school in Broadstairs, Kent who are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Mentor. This role is to start in April 2025 and is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting students' well-being and personal development in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Help students navigate challenges and build positive relationships within the school environment
  • Work closely with the pastoral team, including Heads of Year and learning support staff
  • Support with the delivery of interventions for students at risk of exclusion or disengagement
  • Act as a role model, offering encouragement and promoting positive behaviour and well-being
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure students are receiving the necessary support
