You will be responsible for developing and overseeing an effective legal compliance program focused on global safety standards and regulations for machinery and equipment.
You will serve as the company expert, addressing employee concerns and guiding the team on current regulations and related design principles.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority on all legislative compliance and product safety matters.
- Evaluate cost-effectiveness in meeting compliance demands, offering optimal value for compliance requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive testing on new and existing products as needed, generating reports for manuals and other documentation.
- Proactively maintain and update certifications and approvals for products to meet current relevant standards.
- Perform inspections and product analysis to ensure compliance with global legal safety standards necessary for certification.
- Maintain a compliance database to support business requirements.
- Collaborate in new product design to ensure adherence to required certifications.
- Oversee creation, maintenance, and management of technical files.
- Ensure all product components meet applicable directives and standards, such as RoHS, REACH, and TSCA.
- Act as the point of contact for external compliance testing (e.g., EMC, IP).
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of technical manuals and product documentation with relevant standards.
- Serve as the point of contact for UL/METlabs inspections, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Support product classification and risk assessment in line with ISO 12100.
- Develop and maintain relevant procedures.
- Support ongoing improvement in compliance delivery with regard to time, cost, and quality.
- Provide training as necessary to ensure compliance with relevant directives and standards.
- Regularly audit company practices, procedures, and documentation to identify potential risks or weaknesses
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Health & Safety, especially in relation to electronics and electrical installations
- Skilled in interpreting schematic diagrams and understanding electronic component functions
- Strong knowledge of PAT and Flash (Hi-pot) testing
- Strong knowledge of IEC standards (ideally Electrical Safety)
- Experience in an electrical manufacturing environment
