About the Role:

We are seeking a Supervising Business Support Officer to provide high-level administrative support within Bromley Council's Children's Safeguarding & Care Planning and Court Service. Reporting to the Senior Safeguarding Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team.
  • Take and accurately type up minutes from meetings.
  • Manage and prioritise a busy workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Handle a high volume of phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively within a team, using initiative when required.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum typing speed of 55 words per minute (WPM).
  • Experience in minute-taking is highly desirable.
  • Strong administrative skills, including numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
