As a vital part of the organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of construction while prioritising public health and safety.

Full-time, 36 hours per week

£280 per day PAYE or £354.06 per day Umbrella

Based in South London,

Driving license and access to a vehicle are essential

What You'll Do:

  • Provide technical expertise in administering and enforcing Building Act, Building Regulations, and allied legislation.
  • Manage development projects, conducting plan checks and site inspections.
  • Address dangerous structures and coordinate emergency actions to ensure public safety.
  • Collaborate closely with the public, developers, and architects, offering guidance on Building Regulation applications.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine plans for compliance and issue decision notices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections throughout the construction process.
  • Make informed decisions on-site regarding compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Investigate breaches and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Promote our building control service to attract new customers and improve client satisfaction.

What We're Looking For:

  • Full Corporate Membership of RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
  • Achieve by assessment LABC Level 6 Competency.
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous record-keeping.
  • Self-motivated, with a knack for problem-solving and logical thinking.
  • Proficient in ICT, including Microsoft applications and technical drawings.
  • Ability to interpret detailed architectural drawings and fire engineering reports.
  • A collaborative team player with authority and credibility to build relationships.
