One of Bromley’s premier, bespoke, and independent general building contractors is eagerly looking to recruit an experienced Working Foreman who possesses a solid background in carrying out extensions and loft conversions.

The role is offered on an ongoing basis - Monday to Friday (8-hour days). It will suit an experienced, self employed, and organised Tradesperson / General Builder who enjoys building extensions but does not want the stress of running a business.

You will be 'on the tools' and leading by example! A strong carpentry, or general building experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities and 'must haves’:

  • Own van and full set of tools required to carry out your work
  • Operate and promote safe working on site
  • Implement Company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to HSE legislation and quality
  • Lead by example to others on site
  • Ensure the completion of works on time and within budget
  • Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of site operatives
  • Share and pass on knowledge to teams
  • Track and document daily work productions
  • Organise and monitor the work of subcontractors on site
  • Equipment and materials management
  • Order and manage hired/internal equipment daily
  • Co-ordinate delivery/pick up of materials as required

Key measures & targets:

Assist in delivering snag free projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key relationships will need to be built with:

Skilled Trades, Site Operatives, internal and external customers, AND the customer.
