The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant (KS2/3)In this SEMH Teaching Assistant role, you will provide 1:1 and small group support across KS2 & KS3 (Primary & Secondary), focusing on students with SEMH needs. Your ability to build positive relationships with students is key, as you will help them navigate their schoolwork while managing and supporting their emotional needs. You will play an important role in encouraging good behaviour, creating a supportive learning environment, and helping students stay on track with their individual learning goals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing academic and emotional support to students with SEMH needs
- Assisting with schoolwork and encouraging positive behaviour
- Creating and maintaining a nurturing and structured classroom environment
- Monitoring students’ progress and providing constructive feedback
- Implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students
