Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour management plans.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor and support student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Assist in the development of social skills and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Support students in developing coping mechanisms and resilience.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
