WRG are supporting a well established property & construction consultancy who are looking to appoint an experienced and competent CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer. This person will step into an Associate role within the business, and become the department lead for their team in Bromley, Kent. Our client has an established team of construction professionals offering building surveying, cost management, project management and H&S/ CDM services to projects across London/ South East.

The business is appointed on a number of largescale frameworks,overseeing housing (public sector), education, healthcare, retail, care homes and leisure projects.

The role would suit a senior leader within H&S/ CDM, with experience of managing teams, tendering and forecasting for projects, and business development, who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer a range of H&S/ CDM services to clients.
  • Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
  • Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, along with offering input in relation to safety in design.
  • Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
  • Conduct CDM workshops for clients.
  • Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
  • Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
  • Manage a small team of H&S/ CDM professionals.
  • Oversee tenders, bids and forecasting for projects.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
  • Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
  • Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
