This outstanding-rated Children's Social Care team is seeking talented and ambitious Senior Practitioners to join their journey to excellence. They are fully committed to making children and young people its top priority and works in partnership with key agencies to ensure children grow up with the best life chances and receive safe, consistent care.

You will join the specialist Court Team within the Safeguarding and Care Planning Service, focusing on children at significant risk of harm where court intervention is necessary. You will be working closely with the Legal Team to ensure that cases presented to court are prepared meticulously and promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concise, evidence-based reports for court and adoption panels.
  • Meet court timelines for submissions and work creatively with children and families involved in proceedings.
  • Undertake assessments, including parenting and together-and-apart assessments, ensuring interventions are appropriate.
  • Undertake risk analysis and make informed professional judgements to assess parenting capacities and determine if alternative care plans are required.
  • Manage a limited caseload of up to 11 children, focusing on delivering the highest standards of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams and partner agencies, including legal representatives and Guardians in the court arena.
