An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a registered Team Manager to join our Referral and Assessment Service at a time of exciting change. With a recent Ofsted rating of "outstanding", we are on a journey to excellence, committed to making children and young people in the Borough our top priority.

Day to Day of the Role:Oversee and manage the Referral and Assessment Teams, ensuring effective service delivery and support for approximately 50 families at any given time.Work closely with a team of 5 social workers, providing leadership and supervision.Engage in duty weeks every 6 weeks, during which new allocations are received and managed.Utilise a relationship-based practice framework to foster positive changes for children and young people.Ensure the team delivers high-quality social care services in line with our improvement and transformation plan.

Required Skills & Qualifications:Registered with Social Work England or able to obtain registration prior to commencement of employment.Comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance.Experience in supervising complex casework, contested care proceedings, and coaching social workers.Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work within a legislative and procedural framework.Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to maintain concise case records and produce reports.A commitment to continuous professional development and raising practice standards.
