- Oversee and maintain the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of all daily financial activities performed by the finance team.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the Board of Directors, supporting business planning and informed decision-making.
- Manage and ensure the integrity of the financial accounting system and associated processes.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to review management accounts and balance sheets, investigating and addressing any variances.
- Deliver monthly performance analysis with actionable insights to help drive the business towards its commercial goals.
- Take full ownership of the year-end process, including managing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
- Educated to degree level with an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or Part Qualified with relevant experience. Qualified By Experience candidates with a strong background will also be considered.
- Experience within the SME sector is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder liaison skills.
- A strong focus and background in financial control and process improvement. with a good understanding of technical accounting is preferred.
