HR ADVISER

BROMSGROVE, HYBRID

A reputable manufacturing organisation is looking for a HR Adviser to join their team. You will provide proactive and efficient HR support to the business, including ER case management, performance management, delivering training, handling HR admin tasks, managing various leave types, and assisting with payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a HR Adviser you will:

  • Support managers with ER cases, such as sickness/ absence and return to work, underperformance and dismissals.
  • Deliver training to line managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead on maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, including meetings and letter drafting.
  • Manage flexible working requests, exit interviews, probation reviews and the induction process.
  • Liaise with hiring managers to ensure that hours, overtime and holiday are processed in line with the payroll deadline.
  • Ensure the implementation of wellbeing, inclusion, and engagement initiatives, supporting managers as needed
  • Produce, interpret, and analyse management information related to staff turnover, sickness absence, leavers, new starter surveys, diversity & inclusion, etc
  • Adopt a coaching and mentoring approach to develop line managers' competence.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the role of HR Adviser, you must have:

  • A CIPD qualification, level 5 or above
  • Proven HR experience, with a focus on ER cases in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
  • Flexibility to work some evenings to support the night shift (once or twice a month)
  • A working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices and legislation
  • Experience with HR and payroll systems
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to build effective rapport with stakeholders
  • The ability to handle difficult situations, confidentially
  • The motivation to thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
