ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learing Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Bromsgrove on a full-time basis.

 About the Role

  • As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized assistance to students with special educational needs.
  • Your primary responsibility is to offer tailored support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential within the school environment
  • Implementing individualized learning plans, promoting student engagement and independence, and maintaining regular communication with parents, careers and outside professionals. 
  • The role is on a full time basis with the possibility to be ongoing for the right candidate.

  • A Specialist all-through school based in Bromsgrove supporting students with moderate to complex needs with the aim of providing high quality education.
  • The school is focused on a child-centred approach to learning, focusing on their interests to create a relevant curriculum.
  • Providing a safe, positive, stimulating and challenging learning environment where all pupils’ needs are identified.
  • Access a wide range of funded training and qualification opportunities in SEN education whilst gaining a breadth of experience with children of varying ages and abilities.

About you:-

  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
