Salary: £27,000.00 negotiable depending on experience

Location: Herefordshire, HR7

Permanent. Full time. 39.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Friday 8:30am to 5pm with morning and afternoon breaks and half hour for lunch. Voluntary overtime is available at premium rates to meet operational needs during busy periods.

Job Overview

This role will be responsible for preparing and finalizing visual materials for print or digital publication, ensuring that all designs meet technical specifications and brand guidelines. The role would include working closely with the Artwork Manager and Sales team to adjust layouts, correct colours, and ensure high-quality output. Proficiency in graphic design software and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Assess customer-provided artwork and process it for product templates using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.

Run and monitor custom script automations, including 3D product mock-ups.

Create design options for sales visualizations.

Prepare approved designs for production.

Redraw artwork as necessary.

Edit and amend artwork in a timely manner.

Maintaining paperwork as necessary for the operation of the Artwork department

Person Specification

A meticulous artworker with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, capable of handling detailed design tasks and automations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work seamlessly with designers and clients.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

Essential:

A minimum of 2 years experience in similar role.

Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across departments.

Excellent attention to detail.

Prioritisation and time management skills with an ability to adhere to deadlines.

A sound knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite; in particular Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat.

High level of technical proficiency in Mac OS.

Desirable:

Previous experience in designing for digital print.

Previous use of any Database / CRM system.

Knowledge of any form of scripting automation.

Qualifications

Essential:

Grade C or above in G.C.S.E Maths & English.

Desirable:

A foundation degree, HND or degree in graphic design or a similar design subject. (not essential based on quality of portfolio).

Driving licence due to location.
