Role OverviewWere looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimise day-to-day warehouse operations. Youll be responsible for overseeing inventory control, order fulfilment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role involves supervising daily activities, coordinating shipments, managing stock levels, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management- Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements (incoming, outgoing, and returns).
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the relevant teams.
- Ensure stock rotation using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) methods.
- Optimise storage layout to maximise space and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and manage shipment documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping labels, invoices).
- Coordinate with transport providers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Oversee loading and unloading activities, ensuring accuracy and product quality.
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
- Implement quality control processes to reduce errors and product damage.
- Maintain an organised and efficient warehouse layout.
- Ensure all goods are stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Regularly inspect and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Keep the warehouse clean and hazard-free to maintain a safe working environment.
- Supervise warehouse staff, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Train new team members on warehouse policies, safety standards, and procedures.
- Manage staff schedules, monitor attendance, and evaluate performance.
- Promote a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
- Oversee waste disposal, recycling, and environmental compliance.
- Identify and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy and cycle time.
- Introduce best practices to enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
