We are recruiting for a confident Management Accountant for a 5-month Fixed Term Contract for a company based near Broxbourne

You will have a strong numerical and administration skills with an advanced understanding of Excel and experienced in the use of either Exchequer/ QuickBooks/ Sage Intacct or similar

This role is crucial to release the existing management accountant from day-to-day responsibilities while the business develop and implement a new ERP system.

  • Salary: £60k (pro rata)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. 
  • Hybrid working with 2 days at home and 3 in the office after initial training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generation of weekly working capital reports
  • Generation and communication of month end timetables
  • Preparation and reconciliation of monthly closing entries
  • Posting of journal entries
  • Preparation of management accounts and consolidations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing accounts to trial balance for our Australian subsidiary
  • Other ad hoc requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Has 5 years’ + experience in a similar role
  • Experience of trading sub ledgers is beneficial
  • Fully ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Has high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Somebody with an analytical mindset and strong organisational and verbal and written communication skills
  • Has a problem-solving attitude
  • Be competent in use of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Exchequer preferred but ability to manipulate information from older systems helpful
  • Must have excellent Excel skills, advanced preferred

Start date: December

Due to the location, you must be a driver with your own vehicle as there are limited public transport links.
