Broster Buchanan are hiring for an Accountancy Training Manager for a well-known membership body for accountants.The company are looking to hire a Training Manager as part of their Employer Training Authorisation and Monitoring team. This team is responsible for working with their Authorized Training Employers (ATE) - these are predominantly accounting firms but also commercial business and public sector organisations - Anyone who runs an accounting training scheme. The Training Manager will review each ATE every few years to ensure the training schemes are operating properly, as well as admitting new applicantsThis isn’t a technical team, instead looking at the responsibilities that the training providers have and ensuring a good level of quality is maintained across the board for all accounting students, plus advising on regulatory issues, and generally trying to impart best practice when it comes to the operation of these training schemes.The role is home-based (i.e. no office element) but involves travel to ATEs in your local area to conduct review/authorization meetings. Some can be done remotely but the majority are in-person meetings - as a rough guide you might be out and about visiting firms for some of the day on 3 days per week (but will vary week-to-week).They are looking for someone with a professional accounting qualification, with good interpersonal/communication skills, and ideally someone with some exposure to training / education / review '/ tutor type roles where they have got extra insight into the operations of an accountancy training scheme.The role comes with a salary of circa £60k-£70k plus benefits package including 8% pension contributions, family-level private healthcare.It’s a great role for someone looking for something a bit different, or perhaps someone seeing an improved work/life balance than what is typical for the profession.Apply now to find out more
