Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
- Preparing budgets, forecasting sales, and managing cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving profitability.
- Preparing monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analysing inventory levels, minimising wastage, and ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Assisting with evaluating product pricing strategies to maintain competitive yet profitable pricing.
- Ensuring adherence to tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Providing financial insights to the management team for strategic business decisions.
- Coordinating with auditors, tax authorities, suppliers, and financial institutions.
- Monitoring receivables and payables to maintain liquidity and fund daily operations.
- Assisiting with the Implemention of accounting software, streamlining financial processes, and leveraging data analytics for better decision-making.
Profile
The successful Management Accountant will have:
- Experience in a similar role
- Ideally experience within an SME environment
- A flexible approach to work
- Studying CIMA/ACCA with a view to progressing
- Friendly and approachable maner
- Ability to work well with a range of stakeholders
