Payroll Specialist - Broughton

Location: Broughton (Onsite requirement for the first month, then up to 2 days per week remote working)

Contract Length: Until 16th October 2025, with potential extension

Pay Rate: £18 per hour (PAYE) / £24 per hour (Umbrella)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days between 7am - 7pm)

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a prestigious organisation in Broughton. You'll play a crucial role in managing payroll processes for over 500 employees and supporting executive payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process monthly divisional payrolls from start to finish.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, handling any misbalances and remittances.
  • Provide expertise on complex payroll queries and issues.
  • Administer executive payroll, including share scheme management and contractual administration.
  • Stay up-to-date on payroll legislation, ensuring compliance with statutory changes.
  • Participate in payroll-related projects and process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement change requests and test payroll system updates.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent desirable).
  • Experience with payroll for large organisations (500+ employees).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and processes.
  • Experience with SAP payroll systems (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Security Clearance: BPSS+ (to be completed by the employer)
