My client, a progressive and fast-growing business in Buntingford are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join them for this full-time, office based opportunity. The primary focus of this role will be managing the subcontractor ledger, ensuring all entries are processed accurately and efficiently. You will report into a interpersonal and astute Director and the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and a strong attention to detail.

Key Duties:

  • Accurately process and maintain records for subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with CIS regulations.
  • Input data with a high level of accuracy to ensure financial records are up to date and correct.
  • Ensure all payments are processed in line with CIS requirements, including verifying subcontractors and applying the correct deductions.
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices, ensuring they match the agreed terms and contracts.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations of the subcontractor ledger, ensuring any discrepancies are identified and resolved.
  • Generate reports on subcontractor payments, deductions, and outstanding balances for management review.

The successful candidate will be experienced in the duties listed above, be a great team player and able to commute to the client offces in Buntingford for full-time work.
