The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join our clients team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work 40 hours per week across 4 x 10-hour shifts, including alternate weekend working, with the latest finish time at 9:00 pm.
Salary on offer is just over £32,000 and this role is a permanent offering.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and serve meals to our residents across breakfast, lunch, and dinner times.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Occasionally oversee the catering team, offering leadership and guidance.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks, including ingredient preparation and maintaining cleanliness when required.
- Assisting as a Kitchen Assistant when needed without a drop in pay and supporting the Chef on shift
As part of a multi-site role, you will work across different kitchens within the Burgess Hill site.
What We’re Looking For
- A City and Guilds 706 1 & 2 qualification (or equivalent), along with a current Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- At least 2 years’ experience in catering or a similar role.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
