*Competitive rates of pay starting from £12.83 per hour*Your new nurseryYou will be working for Hays as early years bank staff where you will be placed in various settings. You will be working with children aged 3 months to 5 years, which can be tailored to your preferences. You will be able to work across different settings around Burgess Hill and surrounding areas and work around your own commitments. We will do everything we can to support you in finding work for your availability, but of course this can depend on the nurseries needs.Your new roleAs nursery bank staff you will be expected to support the early years settings, working where required; supporting the other nursery staff, helping set up and tidy the room, playing with the children and ensuring the environment is safe at all times. You won't be expected to complete any learning diaries, so this is a great opportunity to gain confidence and learn new skills.What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for ideally level 2 or level 3 qualified early years practitioners, however we are open to unqualified nursery assistants having recent relevant experience that can be referenced. You will need to be reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic; the nurseries that you are placed in will expect you to be hands-on and willing to help out in the setting.What you'll get in returnYou will receive a competitive hourly salary including holiday pay. You will receive the support you require to settle into the nurseries routine. You will have set hours for a fixed period of time, enabling you to plan your commitments or childcare where needed.
