Solicitor

£Negotiable, Burgess Hill, Mon to Fri 9am-5pm (1.25 lunch break), 36 days holiday

The Role

Due to continued growth, our exclusive client, a well-established and highly recommended legal firm located in Burgess Hill, are looking to add a Solicitor / Qualified Legal Executive with ideally 3PQE in both Residential and Commercial Conveyancing to their small team. Reporting directly to the Senior Partner, and with access to a Legal Secretary, this position will see the successful candidate take ownership of their own (primarily) residential conveyancing caseload from start to finish. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to thrive in a non-corporate setting, where they can stay engaged and continuously develop their knowledge.

  • Handling the entire process of the conveyancing from the outset to completion including post completion work
  • Managing the sales and purchase process for primarily residential, but some commercial freehold and leasehold properties
  • Utilise Osprey case management system and Digital dictation software
  • You will also have the opportunity to develop knowledge in private client matters if desired.

The Person

We would expect the successful Solicitor to be able to demonstrate 3+ years' experience Post Qualification in a fee-earning conveyancing role. Consideration will also be given to those with CILEX qualifications. You will be self-motivated, diligent and proactive towards your work - with great communication skills and solid IT skills.

The company are a long-established solicitor's firm, founded over 70 years ago. They are located within a 10-minute walk of Burgess Hill train station. You will be joining a fantastic small team, most of whom have been with the business for several years. The team are professional, personable, and work to ensure their clients are at the core of what they do.

Package

Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm with 1.25-hour lunch

Office based - Burgess Hill

28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
