Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing commercial company with offices on the outskirts of Burgess Hill, West Sussex to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Hybrid working is on offer. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working within a small friendly team you will be responsible for supporting with transactional duties, reporting, analysis and supporting the wider finance team with the smooth running of the companies’ finances.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Complete transactional tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking transactions.
  • Processing and posting of journals.
  • Support our outsourced partner and review of the global payrolls.
  • Monthly credit card reconciliations.
  • Assisting month end closing activities.
  • Processing and posting of journals.
  • Monthly Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
  • Process transactions and analyse data.
  • Support our outsourced partners in the preparation of VAT filings and payments in various jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with external audit.
  • Assisting the Budgeting and Forecasting process where required.
  • Assisting with external audit.
  • Ad-hoc projects to support the wider Finance Team.

Key Skills required for this job opportunity:

  • Proven experience in a similar finance role.
  • IT literate with previous excel experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to priorities tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Currently studying or wanting to study AAT/CIMA/ACCA ideal but not essential
