Lead Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our team and deliver commissioning projects that meet national legal requirements and our Client's specifications. As a Lead Commissioning Engineer, you will provide key commissionability input into the detail design and construction processes, ensuring the highest standards are met.

Responsibilities:
• Supervising the Commissioning technicians under your direct responsibility.
• Adhering to our Commissioning Quality Management System and ensuring that all team members correctly apply procedures, codes, and standards during commissioning activities.
• Collaborating with the Client team and other project disciplines (Design Engineering, Training, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance).
• Providing functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables.
• Monitoring and reporting on progress.
• Producing and checking Commissioning Documentation (including Test Documentation and Commissioning Reports).
• Assisting the Commissioning Team Leader in identifying Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) requirements, approving vendor test documentation, witnessing vendor testing, and approving test results.
• Producing and checking Commissioning Test Documentation.
• Ensuring all mandatory test prerequisites are in place.
• Conducting Risk Assessments and producing Safe Systems of Work.
• Executing commissioning tests according to schedule.
• Completing all commissioning execution records and results to a satisfactory level, and controlling all raw data associated with the tests you conduct.
• Reviewing and accepting completed test records.
• Compiling and reviewing Commissioning LTQR packages.
• Providing discipline-specific subject matter expertise.
• Planning daily commissioning execution activities.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Level 4 Qualification (e.g., HNC) preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent.
• Valid CSCS/ECS Affiliated cards in your specific discipline.
• Membership in a relevant institution (e.g., IET) preferred.
• Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation and Control Systems commissioning.
• Previous experience in the nuclear industry.
• Previous site experience (nuclear).
• AWE experience.
• Familiarity with Siemens S7 and Simocode, WinCC, Profibus, and PICS software packages.
• For Electrical Commissioning Engineers only - 18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical).
• Knowledge of commissioning procedures for TCA's, Fob's (or CR's), and handover.
This is a full-time, site-based role with 66 hours per week - 11 shifts on and 3 shifts off.
