We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional to join our specialist infrastructure business. This role involves traveling to multiple sites across the UK, with a primary focus on the Yorkshire and North West regions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement: three days on-site or in the office and two days working from home.

The ideal candidate will possess strong site-focused experience within the infrastructure sector, including groundwork, civil engineering, utilities, telecoms, rail, or construction. Additionally, they should have the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels across the business and build strong relationships.

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Advise and support project delivery teams on their obligations towards H&S legislation and CDM regulations
    • Be the go for health & safety support, advice and guidance for site teams.
    • Implement and improve a health & safety training program to upskill all staff on their roles and responsibilities in the business
    • Lead on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans.
    • Conduct risk assessments and method statements for sites when required.
    • Promote a positive and proactive health & safety culture across all the business

The Health & Safety Manager will have:

  • 5 years of experience working in the infrastructure industry
    • NEBOSH General Certificate minimum, ideally working towards a Diploma
    • Happy to work in a position that requires travel (Yorkshire, NW focused but may require further on occasion)
    • Solutions-focused individual with a coaching and mentoring mindset.
