Internal Technical Sales

A leading UK-based engineering products distributor has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Internal Sales / Branch Support professional to join the team in Sheffield. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary package.

About the Role:

The internal sales and branch support role requires a proactive individual to assist with customer enquiries and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will manage telephone and email communications, providing product and service information and offering support to branch staff.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Efficient handling of phone and email enquiries and orders
  • Building relationships with customers, branch staff, and suppliers to provide accurate product information
  • Preparing quotes and supporting internal teams with fluid power products
  • Utilizing the company’s bespoke IT system for identifying, pricing, and recording sales orders and purchase orders
  • Sourcing non-stock items and maintaining stock levels
  • Problem-solving and taking responsibility for timely customer order fulfilment
  • Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in the fluid power industry is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other basic computer applications
  • Strong communication and numerical skills
  • Excellent time management abilities
