Permanent Role

Working 5 nights – Monday to Friday 5.30pm – 6am – 60hrs per week

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to work nights for a company based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

The Role


As Shift Supervisor, you’ll be contributing to an ever-growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be supervising the night shift.

Duties

 

  • Day-to-day management of a small team alongside the operations manager
  • Assist site management to ensure daily production targets are achieved & production time is maximised at the facility.
  • Maintain Shift Log’s and provide daily feedback on performance to teams.
  • Ensure the 2hr clean down is carried out to a high standard
  • Ensure the segregation of all recyclable materials at the facility is maximised.
  • Control Housekeeping activities to ensure all are carried out in a safe manner and conform to the Safe Systems of Work and Company Policies.
  • Promote a culture and operating process that keeps focus on health and safety.
  • Ensure all work equipment within their area is used and maintained in a safe manner, all defects reported, and a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
  • Ensuring that the company complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

Your Experience/Knowledge

The applicant must be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team, a flexible approach to work will be advantageous, mobile plant licenses would be advantageous, but training will be provided.

The successful candidate will either already hold or be expected to achieve.

  • IOSH Managing Safely Qualification would be advantageous.
  • Have experience in the recycling industry would be an advantage
  • Have a minimum of 3 years supervising experience
  • Manufacturing industry background
