Finance Analyst / Management Accountant Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset£30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Our client, a prominent South-West organisation experiencing significant growth, is seeking a versatile Finance Analyst / Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Finance Analyst / Management Accountant, you will be integral to the organisation, specialising in financial management and analysis. This role merges essential accountancy support with advanced financial analytics, offering a dynamic approach to financial functions, while providing an evolving career path in finance. You will collaborate with various teams across the organisation, providing valuable management insights through financial reporting and data-driven analysis to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic decision-making support.

The responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse management accounts to deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide actionable financial insights.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, supporting the Finance Controller in financial planning.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial standards.
  • Utilize advanced financial analytics tools to enhance reporting capabilities and data visualisation.
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation for staff.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Level 4 AAT qualification or above.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong familiarity with accounting software and data management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll processing.
  • Excellent analytical skills to handle complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
