Paying up to £45,000, plus excellent benefits, we are recruiting for a Management Accountant within The Calico Group.  This is a key role, helping to deliver and support timely and accurate monthly management information to internal and external stakeholders within the Homes part of the Calico Group. Ensuring yourself and the team maintain and develop strong relationships with the Operational and Corporate Finance teams, Customers, and the wider Group Business Services.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Finance Manager (Homes), the Management Accountant roles core purpose is to produce the monthly management accounts and associated management information, providing accurate and relevant reporting information to support informed decision making.

This will involve:

  • The production of accurate and timely management information to stakeholders
  • Production of a monthly set of management accounts
  • Operational finance analysis and reporting
  • Creating budgets and reviewing monthly performance with Managers
  • Business partners the Operations team improving their understanding of finance
  • Balance sheets production and reconciliation
  • Ensuring financial controls are in place and look to continually improve
  • Support on the delivery of relevant regulatory and legislative compliance

THE PERSON

  • Accountancy experience within a similar environment including the production of Management Accounts
  • Experience of budget setting and the development of detailed financial forecasts.
  • A strong working knowledge of transactional accounting and complex accounting concepts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail
  • An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, at all levels
  • You should be ideally working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification (or Qualified by Experience)
