A Plant Accountant is required to oversee financial operations and to provide strategic support to operations and production. The candidate will be joining a small team based in Burnley who are very supportive, and the role will be ever evolving providing you exposure and accountability for site performance.

Description
As Plant Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Closing month end activities such as account reconciliations, posting journals, preparing management reports
- Closing year end activities such as management reporting, audit compliance and performance analysis
- Creating budgets and forecasting on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis
- Reporting site KPIs to leadership team
- Managing all costs related to site, highlighting risks and opportunities, and carrying out cost reviews
- Working with commercial to update pricing
- Managing all site-related capital investment projects
- Leading on the supply chain network from end to end
Profile
A successful Plant Accountant should have:
- Strong accountancy experience in a manufacturing/FMCG environment
- Part qualification CIMA/ACCA OR Qualified by experience
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to develop relationships with other departments within the plant
- SAP knowledge is preferable
