Our client a company that specialises in housing, healthcare, employability, and construction services are looking for a Finance Transaction Officer.
As part of the Finance Transaction Team you will work closely with the accounting teams within the group, ensuring the efficient handling of transactions to support their businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices through the accounts payable system, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Conduct weekly payment runs, adhering to agreed supplier terms.
- Raise and reconcile purchase orders and sales invoices for external customers.
- Manage credit and debit balances, including processing credit card top-ups.
- Administer insurance claims and assist with the annual renewal process.
- Oversee property disposals related to Right to Buy and Right to Acquire schemes.
- Post direct debit and housing benefit payments from councils into the housing system.
- Provide efficient support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, addressing queries promptly.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified by Experience or equivalent qualifications
- GCSEs at grade C or above in English and Maths
- Previous office or administration experience, including customer contact
- Experience of working independently and to tight deadlines
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office, with an ability to use and develop Excel spreadsheets
Desirable Requirements:
- Familiarity with finance systems such as Open Accounts and Active H
- Experience with purchase and sales ledger accounting processes
