Veritas Education is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Deputy Headteacher to join a forward-thinking primary school in Burnley. This is a permanent, full-time role, where the successful Deputy Headteacher will work alongside the Head to drive school improvement.

The Role & Responsibilities:

The successful Deputy Headteacher will:

  • Lead with integrity, creativity, resilience, and clarity, inspiring staff and pupils to achieve excellence.
  • Support and develop the school's inclusion strategy.
  • Have a secure knowledge of trauma-informed practice and use this to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
  • Inspire and support primary teachers, providing professional development opportunities and fostering a collaborative school culture.
  • Deputise for the Headteacher, confidently managing school operations and decision-making when required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A passion for meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a commitment to inclusive education.A proven track record of raising achievement and developing confident, considerate, and resilient learners.Experience as an effective leader, with the ability to motivate and inspire primary teachers and pupils.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
