SEN Teaching Assistant - Burnley:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced, Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team in a lovely school near Burnley. You must have previous experience supporting children with SEN and hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.

The Role:

  • Working 1-1 and in small groups supporting children with SEN
  • Communicating with staff, parents and SENCO to monitor pupils' progress
  • Building rapport with the pupils
  • Preparing learning resources and activities

Position Details:

  • Location: Burnley
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:15pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: 90 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
