Are you an experienced Health and Social Care Teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of young people?

Our Alternative Provision in Burnley is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team, starting as soon as possible.

As a teacher within the school, you will play a crucial role in the development and education of students with special educational needs and mental health issues.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons in health and social care, as well as assessing and evaluating student progress. You will also be expected to support and guide students in their personal development, and to work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (such as QTS or PGCE or FE Teaching)
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour, special educational needs and mental health issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient and understanding attitude, as well as a willingness to support students through difficult times.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons, and to manage a busy workload.

A deep understanding of the latest teaching methodologies and practices, as well as the ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet the specific needs of students.
