Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of bespoke mechanical assemblies for the medical and healthcare industries.
They are seeking a Drafting Engineer skilled in SolidWorks to create technical drawings from various specifications.
The role involves preparing engineering drawings, creating design specifications, estimating costs, and ensuring accuracy and quality in designs.
Candidates should have experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD in product or machinery design, with a keen attention to detail.
The position is office-based in Burntwood WS7, offering a salary range of £28,000 to £34,000, with a requirement for relevant experience.

Our client is a market-leading manufacturer and distributor of high-end specialist bespoke mechanical assemblies used within the medical and healthcare industries.

They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and practical Drafting Engineer to use SolidWorks to create technical drawings from a variety of specifications, layouts and sketches.

Principal duties:

Create and prepare technical drawings utilising CAD software
Create engineering drawings and designs for production/manufacture
Create design specifications, documentation and material lists
Estimate material and product costs for design
Verify drawings are accurate to specifications, high attention to detail
Maintain quality and technical standards with your work
Interfacing with drafters, designers and engineers
General drafting office duties as required

Technically qualified the ideal candidate will have experience of SolidWorks / AutoCAD gained within product or machinery design and enjoy proving and testing designs.

Location: Burntwood WS7 - Office based.
