Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Administrator role will involve:
- Working with colleagues in procurement and external suppliers to manage incoming deliveries
- Liaising with UK & international hauliers to organise collections
- Coordinate with team leaders/yard staff to plan marshal lanes, ensuring day to day activities run smoothly
- Printing & issuing UK and international paperwork for drivers
- Take a proactive role to solve any transport issues as they arise
Previous experience/skills required:
- Previous experience within a similar transport/logistics/road freight environment
- A good knowledge of international/EU logistics/customs
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Hold the ability to make effective decisions and confidently build rapport
- Adaptable to meet the changing demands required
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday 07:30-16:00 (some flexibility may be required)
Salary & benefits:
- Circa £30,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience
