Distinct is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). This is your chance to join a dynamic and growing healthcare business in a role that promises variety and impact.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000, with potential for up to £50,000 for an exceptional candidate.

Location: Hybrid working, Burton upon Trent, with 4 days a week on-site.

Role Overview:Start Date: ASAP, allowing for a thorough handover with the current incumbent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering robust cash flow forecasting, including maintaining weekly forecasts three months ahead.
  • Managing debtors and ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reporting.
  • Supporting billing and commercial finance management across 15 varied healthcare contracts.
  • Handling P&L, cost allocation, payroll, and expense journals, with a focus on process improvements.
  • Contributing to projects, audits, and M&A activities.
  • Flexibly managing a varied role, with involvement in different areas as needed.

About You:

  • Strong experience in financial control, ideally within a complex or growing business.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
