Our client, is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team as a Technical Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic business during a period of growth and reorganisation.
As the Technical Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing management accounts and technical accounting expertise for the technology segment. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you will ensure a thorough understanding of performance drivers and support decision-making processes. Meeting critical deadlines and ensuring compliance with audit and SOX requirements will be essential to your role within the finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Generate monthly revenue and cost data for internal software development, ensuring accuracy and adherence to month-end timetables.
- Foster relationships with internal software development teams to gain insight into the business and provide ad-hoc analysis for day-to-day decision making.
- Prepare monthly reporting and commentary for the technology segment, including management packs.
- Oversee the fixed asset and service financial analysts, providing leadership and fostering their professional development.
- Ensure accurate accounting for internally developed software under USGAAP and local statutory reporting, including project set up and lifecycle management.
- Maintain data integrity through balance sheet reconciliations and provide information for audits and SOX compliance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement efficiencies while promoting effective communication.
Required Skills and Experience:
- ICAEW/ACA Qualified (Top Four ideally)
- Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting.
- Excellent communication skills to address technical accounting queries and delegate responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with an ERP system (Dynamics 365 beneficial).
