Our client is a specialist and niche business, active in the retaining wall, architectural, garden and erosion control markets. The company from the outset was built on engineering experience, product knowledge, quality, and service both technically and administratively.

They are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to be based at their head office in Stoke-on-Trent (planned relocation to Tutbury).

Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Manager:

  • Review, manage, and support all tender enquiries with the estimating team.
  • Coordinate workload with colleagues in estimating team.
  • Direct and manage OTP projects up to an agreed value threshold.
  • Support the Commercial Manager/Director with high value and/or complex projects.
  • Work closely with Construction and Technical Teams to price works accurately.
  • Attend Pre-start meetings where required this may require site attendance.

Key Skills or a Commercial Manager:

Ideal Experience & Qualifications

Essential

Commercial negotiation experience in a construction environment

Experience of retaining walls or ground working contractors

Desirable

Degree qualified or similar relevant trade qualifications

Knowledge of JCT / NEC3 contracts

Remuneration Package of a Commercial Manager:

Negotiable base salary depending on experience.

Pension

25 days + BH (3 to be saved for Christmas)

Monday Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)
