£30,000 – 35,000 + Agile Working (2 days from home, 3 days office)

 

The Company

Our client is an EPC business who deliver large turnkey engineering projects for customers in the FMCG, Process and Pharmaceutical markets. The business takes responsibility for the delivery of projects from initial system design through to commissioning of project at customer site and delivery projects on a global scale for SME and large blue-chip customers.

The business has been on an incredible journey in the past decade which has seen them transform from delivering £20 million of project per year to in excess of £100 million.   The company has ambitious plans to be the world leader in their field and have invested heavily in their infrastructure, brand and staff development as part of this mission.

As part of their 2025 plan they are growing their documentation team within their project engineering team.   The documentation team support projects by pulling together all documentation required for data dossiers to finalise projects and by issuing documentation to customers through the project lifecycle.

If you have experience in a Document Control, Document Management or another documentation focused role then this is a great opportunity to join an dynamic expanding business.

 

The Role

The Document Controller is responsible issuing documents to customers and ensuring all documents received from customers, suppliers and internal teams during projects are recorded and archived correctly so they are available as required.

As the company deliver large multi million pound projects there is a large flow of documents to control on a daily basis.   On one of the companies projects there could be several thousand documents being exchanged throughout the project lifecycle.

Some of the key duties of the Document Controller will involve:

  • Issuing documents required to customers at the end of project processes
  • Uploading documentation to any external client document management systems required
  • Checking the revisions for documents being sent are correct
  • Creating document transmittal sheets
  • Issuing documents to all parties required on distribution lists
  • Stamping all documents received in
  • Archiving documents

Example drawings being issued include:

  • P&ID drawings
  • Site CAD layout drawings
  • Equipment specifications
  • Equipment data sheets
  • Calibration certificates
  • Operations and Maintenance manuals
  • Material Certifications

 

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for this Document Controller role you will need:

  • Experience in a document control, document management or technical administration related role.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • To be comfortable working in a fast paced and reactive working environment
  • To be highly organised individual who can prioritise well.
