Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Burton, Derbyshire, and South Derbyshire. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting classroom teachers, ensuring the smooth running of lessons, and assisting in the academic and emotional development of children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Assist in the management of classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
• Work with small groups or individual students, providing targeted support.
• Help prepare learning materials and resources.
• Offer pastoral care to children, aiding their academic and social development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting (either as a teaching assistant or in a similar role).
• A passion for supporting young learners and a commitment to helping children reach their full potential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and pupils.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with a proactive approach to assisting in the classroom.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) is an advantage, but not essential.
