RM Recruit is working in partnership with our education client based near Burton-on-Trent, to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a forward thinking organisation where you will be pivotal in decision making and add value to the finance team.

Main duties include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts with full commentary
  • Production of annual and quarterly budgets
  • Supporting the Finance Director in ensuring that cashflow remains strong
  • Undertake monthly reconciliations
  • Co-ordinate the preparation and submission of the year end statutory annual accounts
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors
  • Continuously updating processess and procedures
  • Business Partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce financial information and reports as required by the organisation
  • Develop effective relationships with the stakeholders and partners in order to support its development and operations
  • Provide value added financial advice and support to all customers
  • Be an integral member of the finance team
  • Ensure the organisation has appropriate and effective financial and management information systems and controls in place

As the ideal candidate, you will possess experience in an educational setting, however, this is not essential. Given the nature of this role, it is 4 days p/w in the office, however, fully remote during student / school holidays. The organisation offer a fantastic unrivalled pension scheme plus many other benefits. There will be some travel to other locations all within a very close proximity of their main HQ which will be expensed accordingly. You will ideally be qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) however, Part Qualified candidates and those who are QBE will certainly be considered.
